After the success of TikTok , vertical videos have seen some popularity: Instagram has indeed added the Reels in its app for over a year now and YouTube has integrated Shorts on mobile . Facebook also doesn't want to be left behind and has started the Reels testing in the app .
A small number of people will now be able to notice the Reels directly in the feed or in the Groups tab : the operation is the same as Instagram and it is also possible to create content directly on Facebook . Furthermore, it is now possible to publish a Reels created on Instagram also on Facebook , in a similar way with what happens with posts. Tests are currently limited to US users .
According to a spokesperson for Facebook , on the platform by now almost half of the contents viewed every day are videos and therefore the Reels are the natural consequence of this trend . We do not yet know when this kind of content will also arrive in Italy.
