Credit for its versatility goes to the LED surface that covers almost the entire case , capable of coloring the speaker and illuminating it to the rhythm of music with a series of light effects.
Of cylindrical shape , it is X centimeters high and weighs around X grams, therefore it is not among the most pocket-sized, finding space more easily in the home or office. The whole case is in brushed aluminum, in our case dark gray, and is almost entirely characterized by a dense grille that lets the drivers “breathe”.
On the base we find, on one side, the microUSB input for recharging the internal battery, the ON / OFF button and the AUX socket for cable connection via 3.5 mm jack, while all the controls, of touch type , are positioned on the upper area, with a diameter of X centimeters. Specifically, with a touch it is possible to pause / restart audio playback, jump between the songs of an album or a playlist and adjust the volume, as well as activate one of the various light games available.
Following our tests we can say that the touch is not always recognized at the first try, probably because the touch controller of each button covers a rather small area and therefore greater precision in the touch of the various buttons is required. If this is not a problem during the day, it is instead more difficult in the evening or in dark rooms as there is certainly no more comfortable backlighting for the keys.
As anticipated, the peculiarity of this speaker is the surface, covered by a series of LEDs that color the case and give it movement during music playback. Below we attach a video that shows one by one the various light games available.
Some, as the video makes clear, follow the rhythm of the music, while others perform more simply a choreography. Of particular effect in this period are the circular lights that evoke the effect of Christmas lights, for example approaching well near the tree or the Nativity scene.
Musically speaking the speaker sounds very good, with a rather enveloping three hundred and sixty-degree audio. Even at maximum volume there are no distortions, with an excellent presence of bass, while it is slightly less performing at high frequencies.
As for autonomy, at maximum volume it plays continuously for about 5 hours. The battery is fully charged in about three hours.
We are certainly not dealing with a stereo for audiophiles but rather a speaker to listen to good music without too many pretensions, for example enlivening a small family party.
