The Financial Times wrote that from 2022 the car manufacturer Fiat Chrysler (FCA) will no longer produce cars with a diesel engine, technology in crisis due to the scandal linked to the rigged data on Volkswagen emissions, strong criticism for its impact on the environment and the possibility that many cities will announce bans in the coming years. There hasn't been an official announcement from Fiat Chrysler yet, but the Financial Times cites informed people that the plan will be announced on June 1. FCA owns the Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler and Maserati brands, and would join other major automakers who have made the same choice: last year Toyota told the Financial Times that it probably wouldn't introduce a new diesel model, and Porsche has already announced that it has abandoned the technology.
