Since it was 3 am in Italy and for several hours many users of Gmail, Google Drive, Hangouts and Google Maps from all over the world have reported problems with the functioning of Google services. Among other things, many were unable to send emails, open attachments, and upload or download files to Google Drive. Google announced that the problems were resolved at 7.30 but did not explain what caused them.
