Google Calendar also allows you to reserve travel time

The world of work has certainly changed a lot for many in recent years. If before we were used to more predictable rhythms, now many have much more flexible working days, which however must often be able to agree with the timing of colleagues or other professionals.

Digital calendars have therefore become even more important and many leave the visibility of their busy and free time to colleagues so that they can block a “slot” in your “free” time. A practice perhaps a bit wild but often effective. However, if you travel a lot for work Google Calendar has a new function that will come in very handy. Now you can automatically block the time needed to move to that place as busy.

To do this, simply edit your appointment, check that it has the address included in the appropriate field and then press the map button on the right. At this point a sidebar will open where you can press the key Directions .

Just like in Google Maps you can choose which means of transport to move and select your preferred route. At this point, pressing on Add to calendar you will find yourself a new automatic event in the calendar with the time necessary to move blocked. Simple and effective.
