Google changes the information on the incognito page

Google is updating the incognito mode landing page on Chrome after a lawsuit over the feature was recently filed.

The change was first spotted by Techdows and features new text that clearly illustrates incognito capabilities. There are two sections; “What Incognito does” and “What Incognito does not”.

The text in the latter section seems to more clearly describe the limits of incognito browsing on Chrome. In particular, while you can make your searches invisible, this only applies to the browser history on the device.

In fact, even using the Incognito mode, sites, employers and Internet service providers will always know what and when it was searched with their browser.
