Launched at the end of 2020 and officially arrived in Italy only a few months ago, News Showcase is the section of Google News that allows you to view not only quality content from trusted sources , but also articles protected by paywall , otherwise accessible only for a fee.
With a post on his blog, BigG announced some news for the Showcase section. The first is that this is finally available also from desktop , through the address news.google.com/showcase. In addition to this, this section is now much more “integrated” in the entire platform: in addition to being accessible from the navigation menu on the left , it will be possible to see the news from Showcase also in the main screen , under the heading News sources .
The News Showcase section can also be explored through the page dedicated to a newspaper : as you can see from the image below, among the various buttons there is is the one dedicated to this section, which obviously will only show news from the magazine in question.
