If you are our regular readers, perhaps you are used to reading about new functions launched by Google on its apps and in particular on Chrome, the most popular browser in the world. Thanks to the huge number of users, in fact, in Mountain View they receive a large amount of feedback, indications and suggestions (not to mention criticisms) on how to improve the program. For those subscribed to the beta channel, some flags are now available to activate to try out some news that could save you some time.
The first concerns only the desktop version of Chrome and is actually divided into three flags: # ntp-recipe-tasks-module , # ntp-chrome-cart-module and # ntp-drive-module . If enabled, these activate the possibility of quick access to the last opened pages directly from the space of a new tab. Respectively, the flags allow you to show the latest sites visited in terms of recipes, online purchases and files on Drive .
The other two experiments are instead the prerogative of the version for mobile devices and concern the introduction of an upper bar with which to switch from one search result on Google to another ( # continuous-search ) and the ability to create quick notes to share online starting from the free selection of text from one page ( # webnotes-stylize ). You can see what we are talking about in concrete by looking at the two animated GIFs below, we are sure that in this way everything will be clearer.
All these novelties are accessible by typing chrome: // flags in the Chrome omnibar and at the moment they are available both on the beta version of the browser, and on the stable version (even if in this case they do not seem to work exactly properly).
