For some years some of the biggest players in the tech sector, such as Google, Facebook / Meta, Microsoft and Twitter, have started a project to make the data transfer between platforms much easier and faster.
To date, the project has expanded, also thanks to the arrival of Apple , and Google has chosen to invest a new significant sum of money, equal to 3 million dollars and several new engineering figures, in the implementation of the service. It looks like this will come with the name Google Takeout and take care of the data transfer exclusively on the cloud from one platform to another.
Google estimates that with Takeout there would be approximately 8.2 million transfers data on a monthly basis only. The tool will make it possible the optimization of data transfer between platforms, such as the synchronization of images between the Facebook account and Google Photos or as the transfer of images from iCloud to Google Photos .
