News is coming for Immuni, the contact tracing app officially adopted by the Italian government to reduce the COVID-19 pandemic in our national territory . In the last few hours the Privacy Guarantor has approved a new feature .
The novelty for Immuni consists in the possibility of reporting autonomously a positivity . This report can be made if you are in possession of a report of a positive diagnostic test, of the unique national code and of your own health insurance card. Once the report has been made, Immuni will proceed to upload the temporary identification keys to identify the restricted circle of users with whom the person who reported positivity came in contact.
Once the temporary identification keys have been loaded, the system will invalidate the unique national code in order to prevent further use not related to the close contact warning. The novelty should make more effective the system of tracking and warning of close contacts of positive people.
The update is now available for everyone in the reference stores for your smartphone.
