It's been over six months since we started talking about seeing paid subscriptions (Patreon or OnlyFans style) on Instagram , but now comes the official from the company, which has started the tests in the United States.
Users can now “subscribe” to the profile of some selected creators , with the latter they can set the price of the monthly subscription by choosing between different options that range from $ 0.99 for $ 9.99 . Users who subscribe will be able to see Stories or exclusive live broadcasts , and will also see a purple badge next to their name to indicate precisely that they are subscribed to a particular creator.
Instagram has already announced that no commissions will be withheld on subscriptions “until 2023” and the company's CEO, Adam Mosseri , explained everything in a video that you can find below. At the moment, we don't know when this feature will also arrive in Italy.
