DJI is one of the most valued drone companies today. Its products stand out for their quality, specifications and versatility. The product that will reaffirm these concepts will be the new Mavic 3 , which will be presented on November 5. However, before that date its design has already been leaked.
A series of images posted online show the DJI Mavic 3 at different angles. Although they appear to have been taken in a warehouse and lack great detail, they are clear enough to make clear what the strengths of this new DJI proposal are.
Unlike the previous generation, the new DJI Mavic 3 looks more elegant. It has a dual camera module. The arms are thinner and the propellers somewhat longer . One point to note is that the propeller tips have lost their curves and show straight termination lines.
Changes that go beyond the appearance of the DJI Mavic 3
Considering that it is DJI's flagship product, the changes would not only have to do with the appearance. The new design could give the drone improved aerodynamic capacity. Consequently, its flight could be quieter and more efficient than the Mavic 2 .
As Dronedj points out, one of the reasons drones are so loud is because their little propellers “cut through the air” very quickly. This causes loud vibrations and sound. Larger propellers, meanwhile, don't need to turn as fast and make less noise.
As these are images only, it is difficult to predict their specs in detail. Apparently, according to a leaked manual, the DJI Mavic 3 would have two cameras. A wide angle capable of capturing video up to 5.2 K and photos up to 20 MP , and a telephoto sensor. These would have good hybrid zoom capabilities.
In addition, the DJI Mavic 3 would arrive with an omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system and an infrared detection system. This, coupled with its new aerodynamic design and intelligent flight modes, would make it a highly attractive option. Now it only remains to wait two weeks to know all the details.
