There is a particular category, that of the Sleeves, which allows you to fully enjoy the smartphone, without the encumbrance of a more or less thick case, and which at the same time protects it when it is carried in a bag. We tried the Leather Wallet Sleeve for iPhone XS, which also fits perfectly on the iPhone X. Here's what we think.
As already mentioned, the Sleeve has the particularity of leaving the design of the iPhone unchanged, and allowing it to be used optimally, without any protective case. When you use it, in fact, it will be enough to remove it from the housing, and then put it back when you carry it in your bag or pocket. The case is made entirely of leather, made of a single piece, soft but at the same time protective, as long as the iPhone does not slip out during the fall. In this regard, it is noted that the Sleeve has a slightly wider upper part than the iPhone, so much so that initially one thinks of a housing that is too wide and not made to measure.
In reality, the lower part of the Sleeve is narrower, allowing the iPhone to be almost securely attached. The top is deliberately wider, so that the user can easily reach the top edge of the iPhone with their fingers.
The first impression you get from this case derives from the material, that is top quality leather, soft and pleasant to the touch, which gives the impression of being chosen with care, and which seems to improve with time and use. Cyber Layman had already experienced the same impressions in the past, testing a rigid Mujjo cover.
The cover does not only offer the housing for the iPhone, but also a front pocket, folded to allow you to insert banknotes, or credit card size cards. This allows the user to carry documents with them, and a few coins, together with the iPhone, to leave the wallet at home. If it is true that it does not fully replace the use of the wallet, it is equally true that on weekends, or when you want to travel light, you can use the sleeve, without placing it alongside your wallet.
Available in black or light brown leather, the Sleeve still seems more suitable for a male audience, both for the cut, for the materials, and for the same colors. On the front stands a quality stitching, and the company logo hot stamped on the leather.
Conclusions
The Sleeve Mujjo is ideal for those who want to enjoy the iPhone XS or the X, “as mom did it”, without the clutter of more or less thick protective cases. When placed inside the Sleeve, the iPhone is protected, more than any cover, even if the edge of the upper frame will be uncovered. When it is removed, of course, it will be the user's responsibility to keep it firmly in the hands. Quality materials, precise finishes, and excellent touch sensation. We recommend it, but as already mentioned, we see it more suitable for a male audience.
