After Mifa A1 and Mifa F10 our editorial team had the opportunity to get their hands on Mifa A10, third – and at the last moment – Bluetooth speaker of the same name manufacturer, this time designed for indoor use due to its lower portability.
Like its younger brothers it amazes both from the constructive point of view and for its high audio quality especially if the it relates to the selling price, in line with that of speakers of the same size but much lower than products of the same power and sound performance.
How it's made
With an elongated shape, this case is made from a body that combines sturdy polycarbonate at the base and sides and a solid metal grille for the rear and front facades. The circle is completed by a rubberized strip on the upper edge, where the function keys and four small but powerful suction cups on the bottom are placed, with the dual task of stabilizing the case on any smooth surface while avoiding contact to prevent scratches over time.
Focusing briefly on the suction cups, we particularly appreciated this choice – very curious if you compare it to the classic rubber feet – due to their high stability. To demonstrate what we are saying, we attach a photograph of the speaker “hanging” from a door right through the four mini-suction cups, confirming the strength with which they are able to attach themselves to surfaces. Obviously, the reason for which they are designed is another, that is to make the case resist even if it were to undergo strong pushes, preventing it from falling off the desk, for example, hitting it while moving a pile of documents.
To the touch it is really pleasant to touch, the whole casing that protects the drivers appears very sturdy and resistant to any twisting , without the slightest creak when you try to squeeze it in your hands. It is undoubtedly a solid product and the design helps to make it a little gem to keep on your desk to listen to music in moments of leisure or in the background during working hours.
How is it going
The sound performance is comparable to that of Mifa A1 and Mifa F10, with excellent mid-high frequency performance and good bass reproduction thanks to the passive radiator that vents on the back of the case. In comparison, the yield is the same even if the effect is less scenic as the better stabilization of the case on the support surface and its larger dimensions dissolve the vibrations more.
In front of us they are two 5W drivers each that guarantee a volume higher than that of the two smaller speakers and without any distortion even at the maximum level. Listening to your own music is a pleasure, even when using the speaker for some pet music, reducing the volume just enough to create a background within a room. In this sense, the reproduction of the music contained within a microSD card can make a difference: in this way you can place the speaker on the counter of a shop or on the office desk to play the songs contained in a folder using the smartphone. for everything else, including videos and phone calls and without necessarily having to interrupt listening to music from the speaker.
Conclusions
We have defined it “the speaker for the office” but obviously it is a Bluetooth speaker like many others, which can be used at home or even outdoors, given its IP45 certification which makes it sufficiently resistant even to water jets. It plays music for over 10 consecutive hours and recharges completely in three hours, therefore it has enough energy to accompany the user for a whole working day without fear of interruptions at the very best.
