Home iPhonia iPhone Accessories ,,,,, Perhaps the Pacific Ocean could be filled with iPhone cases, much less space could be enough for good cases. And if you are looking for something really original and of quality that also meets the taste of Italians, you really have to look very well. To make the task easier, we show you a place to start: Modì, a young Italian company that uses some of the elements for which Italians are famous in the world, leather processing and design, to produce cases different from all the others. We have had the opportunity to test one of these in recent days. This is the Business Case, cut to size for iPhone 7.
Modì Business Case as it is made
The case is very similar to the ones we had the opportunity to test some time ago (for example here), produced by Mbcases which in fact is the “parent company” from which Modì started. Mbcases produced cases, Modì also deals with other things (bags, accessories, wallets and other fashion products) even if always focused on leather and always with an eye to technology. In the Business Case there is everything we found in the previous cases: quality of the material, a very high quality leather, and craftsmanship in the workmanship.
The choice of colors is also important and to be emphasized: in our case, black on the outside, white thread for the stitching and a yellow-green interior that contributes to making the visual impact of the case lighter and more personal. The colors are however totally customizable. Modì in fact allows you to create a completely personal case, choosing from a series of different colors of the leather and seams.
Speaking from a functional point of view, we are dealing with a case-lining. The iPhone fits very precisely inside and stays there. As for the previous Mbcases cases, the internal part is in fact suede, this combined with the very precise and tight cut, produces a firm anti-slip effect. To remove the iPhone you have to pull the special fabric tab.
The protection of the phone is high for an accessory of this type: the skin is thick and abundant on the seams. Obviously this is not and is not presented by the manufacturer as an accessory that was created to prevent the iPhone from being damaged in the event of a disastrous fall, but accidental bumps will certainly be less worrying.
Still talking about functionality, we point out that the Business Case also has an external pocket that can be used as needed, for a document, a credit card or a couple of banknotes. The pocket is not very deep and is very tight, so it cannot be used for a pair of headphones.
The envelope inside which the case arrives The Modì logo embossed on the front Here is the case; note the external pocket The interior is in suede Excellent materials The tongue to extract the phone On the bottom there are holes to let out the audio or the speakerphone Nice effect of the stitching in contrasting color iPhone 7 fits perfectly
In conclusion
The judgment on the Business Case is ultimately the same as we have expressed in the past for MBCases products, which, as mentioned, is the basis of Modì's experience. Functionally, the Business Case has nothing particularly relevant or special, it does what it takes like other cases, protects the iPhone and keeps it away from dust and bad weather, but also exceeds the limits of common cases. In particular, the Busness Case winks at those who want an accessory different from the many on the market, almost always made of plastic, often with a very uninspired design or that to be original become excessive.
In this case, Modì demonstrates that it is possible to accompany iPhone with an accessory of good taste, well made, original and made with precious materials, which you can carry with you even when you go to a business appointment.
The Modì case is ultimately presented as a product to be given away or given as a gift knowing that you are putting yourself in the hands of a friend, a relative or a loved one, an object that demonstrates personality, attention to detail and good taste. All this at a price that we could also define modest in relation to materials, design and construction care. The Business Case for iPhone 7 costs 34 euros. The version for iPhone 7 Plus costs 37 euros.
