Home Reviews ,,,,, They are not the first headphones of this type that we try in the editorial office, but they deserve a mention because the Mpow H1 win the comparison with many others for the quality / price ratio. They cost only 28.99 euros and are made of really good materials, with a solid structure and soft and comfortable pavilions even in prolonged use. They do not turn up their noses even for the audio quality, superior to that of many other products in the same price range, thanks if only to the excellent soundproofing guaranteed by the large pavilions.
How they are made
The headphones are very large, both in the headband that rests on most of the head and is really comfortable thanks to the thick padding covered in leather-like fabric, red on the inside and black on the outside, with visible stitching thus becoming part of design. The pavilions are made of rigid plastic and externally coated with a pleasant rubber coating.
They are attached to the headband by means of a metal structure that is easy to adjust even while wearing the headphones and very stable in maintaining the desired position after removing them. The interior is padded and the ear cavity is very large, perfectly capable of completely containing the ear and guaranteeing very high soundproofing.
Even with the headphones turned off, there is an interesting reduction in external noise, occasionally being also comfortable to isolate yourself from the background buzz of a TV on in an adjacent room to concentrate on your work.
In terms of technology, they connect to devices via Bluetooth or via a 3.5mm jack cable, which can be inserted into the special socket recessed on the bottom of the left pavilion: on the outer case of the right one we find, in addition to the microUSB socket for recharging the internal battery, the (+) and (-) keys for volume adjustment and track management, and the “Telephone handset” button which also acts as a multifunction key for the most common operations.
How are they doing
In addition to the high level of comfort, we also liked the headphones a lot for the audio quality. The rendering of the songs that we usually listen to for our tests via mobile streaming is very good, with excellent reproduction of the whole sound spectrum and especially of the low frequencies.
The autonomy is excellent: to completely discharge the battery we had to use them for over a week, with short sessions of 1–2 hours, for a total of almost 16 hours of uninterrupted listening. Charging is fast enough: 3 hours to restore the energy of the 420 mAh accumulated by the battery.
Conclusions
We would like to recommend these headphones over others, perhaps in the same price range, for their excellent fit and comfort during use. Being able to wrap the ears completely means that the padding of the pavilion comes into contact with the head without crushing the ears, thus avoiding pain in prolonged use.
The weight is not even excessive (they weigh about 230 grams) and being able to use them via cable, in addition to eliminating the limit of battery life, allows you to use them safely even with your computer or any MP3 player. Without forgetting that the pavilions can be folded inside to facilitate the transport of the headphones – with the bag included in the package – taking up less space in the backpack.
