Mujjo All-new Touchscreen Gloves review: protective and universal

Home iPhonia iPhone Accessories ,,,,, The arrival of Face ID has eliminated one of the worst problems for those who use an iPhone with gloves, the reading of the fingerprint, but there is still the problem of using the touch screen with which traditional gloves cannot interact. Various sellers and manufacturers of gloves come to help and offer these accessories treated in a way that allows you to control the display of smartphones and tablets. Among them we have numerous low cost solutions and others more sophisticated and advanced, both from a technical and style point of view. This is the case of those of Mujjo, a Dutch company known for leather cases and, in fact, “tech” gloves.

Cyber Layman has tested two different models of Mujjo gloves in the past; the action, however, has now announced a new model and after the Leather Touch Screen Gloves (suitable for a male audience looking for elegance) and the Leather Crochet Touchscreen (more casual and oriented to a female audience) with the All New Touch Screen Gloves try to capture the attention of a more sporty public, interested in using gloves in various situations, from everyday life, to the office, in free time, to outdoor sports use in times when it is cold.

The gloves are made by integrating a synthetic insulating layer, produced by 3M, Thinsulate, a material that is often used in the field of sport; we see Thinsulate, for example, in ski jackets, winter jackets for cycling or some winter hats. Thinsulate, proposed at launch as an alternative to down as it retains heat in clothing, is breathable and retains its properties even when wet. Finally it is thin, light and flexible and for this reason it becomes a major factor in gloves like Mujjo's.

The look and feel of the gloves is decidedly pleasant and minimal: no visible seams, slightly elastic fit, flexible and not bulky for the hand. Internally they are lined with a plush fabric that provides an excellent feeling of warmth.

The fabric is externally impregnated with a conductive material that makes the whole glove capable of controlling a touch screen. When we say “everything” we mean everything… even the palm or the back. Several low-cost competitors of Mujjo instead offer gloves that control the display with only the index and thumb. Tested in their touch function, the All New Touch Screen Gloves prove to be perfect: both with an iPhone and an Apple Watch we were able to use our devices perfectly.

Another detail that shows the attention to detail put by Mujjo in these gloves is in the anti-slip silicone strips that we find in the positions where the grip on the phone is usually exercised. Thanks to them we will safely hold our smartphone or tablet in all conditions

As mentioned, the gloves are designed to be “all around”, functional in every situation from the trip to the office to an excursion. However, we tested them during a cycling training session, finding a good wind resistance and an excellent ability to protect from the cold. From this point of view they are not very different from the specialized gloves that we usually use but with the advantage of letting us easily control our iPhone and the applications we use during training. Also valid is the flexibility and grip factor on the handlebars; gloves do not interfere, do not force the hand and do not slip. In short, from the point of view of the “function” of a simple glove, the All New Touch Screen Gloves are excellent.

In conclusion, Mujjo's gloves are probably the best touch gloves we've tried to date. They are superior to the Leather Touch Screen Gloves because they are more universal in appearance and warmer, and to the Leather Crochet Touchscreen, made with a process that tends to pull the threads and very inadvisable for sports use. They are linear and neutral from the point of view of style, excellent for protection from the cold, also useful for winter training and perfect from the point of view of the touch function.

If you are looking for gloves able to protect you from the cold, not to clutter too much, to be used in many areas and at the same time perfectly able to manage your iPhone, smartwatch with touch screen or Android, the All New Touch Screen Gloves.

The gloves are currently only available in the Mujjo shop for € 49.90. But soon they could also arrive on Amazon.
