Netflix has added a new button on its platform that allows the user to organize the “Continue watching” category of their profile. Section in which it is common to find content that the viewer has already seen or is simply not interested in.
Until now, the only way to remove content stuck in the aforementioned category was to replay all the episodes or watch a movie to the end. With the new function, instead, the user will be able to do it manually. To do this, you just have to access the title, navigate between the different shortcuts that appear on the side and click on the button that says “Remove from continue watching” . Automatically, the title will no longer be displayed on the first page. Netflix also allows you to reverse this action by pressing the button again.
It is likely that this feature will also allow Netflix to obtain greater precision when it comes to suggesting new content related to what the user usually watches. If a person removes a series or movie from his “Continue Watching” list, it is very likely that he did not like that title. Netflix's algorithm, therefore, might show you less of similar content.
Netflix continues betting on games
Beyond this small but useful addition, the Netflix app continues to receive updates with new features and options. One of the latest news that the company announced for its platform was the original games section. These, in particular, must be downloaded separately through the respective application stores. However, they can only be played through an active subscription. All this, in addition, with the intention of increasing its catalog of games during this year, as confirmed by Reed Hasting, CEO of Netflix.
Meanwhile, Netflix continues to raise prices in different countries. Spain, the last time the service announced an increase in its quota was in October. The basic plan remained at 7.99 euros, as well as the standard option, which costs 13.99 euros per month. The most complete plan, however, went from costing 15.99 euros per month to 17.99 euros per month.
