New in Zoom will make your video calls more fun and similar to real life

The use of Zoom has increased considerably in the last time. The face-to-face meetings changed to video calls to avoid COVID-19 infections, however, they continue to study and work. It is at this point where the video conferencing platform has been useful to millions of people. Now, with the aim of continuing to improve and offer an experience more similar to real life , the application incorporates a function called “Immersive View”.

If we remember something about virtual classes or work videoconferences through Zoom, it is the screen with each of the participants. Small pictures, in gallery view, each with its own background. Now, thanks to “ Immersive View”, all the participants of a meeting will be able to appear organized on the screen and under the same virtual background . The company claims that this new feature is “a more engaging and collaborative way to make video calls.”

Zoom's “Immersive View” can be useful for a large number of scenarios. For example, in webinars, where the panelists, each from their location, interact in the same room.

It can also work in virtual classrooms, work meetings or conferences. This function allows you to gather up to 25 participants and, of course, the hosts will be able to choose a fund of their choice . If more than 25 participants are connected, the additional ones will be shown in thumbnails at the top of the scene.

In addition, the hosts can rearrange the participants within the virtual scene to their liking . They will have the possibility to do it automatically or manually. They can also change the size of the participants, although they can leave them all the same size for a more natural view.

Zoom allows you to easily switch between “Immersive View” and gallery

Zoom If you no longer want to use “Immersive View” it will not be necessary to close the video call in Zoom. You can simply switch to the gallery view at any time or and without affecting the dynamics of the room. And in case you want to share a screen, by doing so the “Immersive View” will be automatically disabled. When sharing stops, it will start over with the same settings as before.

Zoom “Immersive View” is available for Windows applications and MacOS 5.6.3 or higher. It works on both Free and Pro accounts. It can also be enabled from the web portal.
