Realme has globally presented the three devices with which it intends to battle with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 series. Their names are Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro+ and Realme 9i. And, as has been revealed before this presentation, they hide some super interesting features.
The star of this new family is the Realme 9 Pro+. Its main attribute is a glass back that changes color when sunlight –or ultraviolet– strikes it. It goes from a bluish tone to a reddish one in just three seconds. To recover the blue tone, it requires between 2 and 5 minutes.
But that is not the only thing that characterizes this product. The Realme 9 Pro+ also wants to stand out in the photographic field with its IMX766 sensor, the same as that mounted on phones like the Oppo Find X3 Pro. Its performance will have to be evaluated in practice, but, at least On paper, it aims pretty high. It is a fairly large sensor that, in addition, comes accompanied by both OIS and EIS.
Alongside this promising main camera is also a macro sensor and an ultra wide angle sensor to capture those wider scenes.
Another of the features that define the Realme 9 Pro+ is the Dimensity 920 5G chip from MediaTek, which promises to deliver great performance in all kinds of situations. This, in addition, opens the door to 5G connectivity, as its name suggests, so that the product can connect to new generation networks wherever they are available.
The Asian brand also highlights the inclusion of an improved vibration motor, as well as a fingerprint reader under the screen that is capable of monitoring heart rate. This, beyond heart rate , is an important addition, since almost all the phones in its range opt for fingerprint readers on the sides.
Regarding the screen, the Realme 9 Pro+ incorporates a Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution that, yes, stays at 90 Hz. Enough to transmit that extra fluidity that provides any screen above 60 Hz, but behind other proposals that reach 120 Hz.
The phone also has a 4,500 mAh battery and can be quickly recharged at a maximum of 60 W of power, putting it right up there in this field of high-end phones.
The Realme 9 Pro, the middle brother
The Realme 9 Pro shares many features with the Realme 9 Pro+. However, it is positioned below it as far as the price ladder is concerned. For this, obviously, it makes some sacrifices, which, in essence, are the following:
The screen, instead of being AMOLED, is IPS. The positive part, yes, is that it reaches 120 Hz, while the Realme 9 Pro+ stays at 90 Hz. The chip is a Snapdragon 695, also with 5G, but technically lower than the Dimensity 920 of the Realme 9 Pro+. The camera The main one has 64 megapixels, but the sensor is inferior to the IM766 of the Realme 9 Pro+. That is to say: the images have more resolution, but the sensor itself captures less light and obtains worse results. The fast charge remains at 33W, but the battery grows to 5,000 mAh.
The Realme 9i, the economic option
The Realme 9i is the cheapest option in the new family. Inside we find a Snapdragon 680, a chip that debuts in this phone, a 50-megapixel main camera –although the sensor is not the same as the Realme 9 Pro–, a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a battery with 5,000 mAh capacity.
What price will the new Realme phones have?
The Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+ and 9i will hit stores in the coming weeks. The official prices of each product are as follows:
