On Instagram, you can no longer know which people have seen a Featured Story

For a few hours Instagram has introduced a small novelty concerning its featured Stories, those that can be saved on your profile even after the 24 hours of life of a normal Instagram Story. When you go to review your own Featured Story, it is no longer possible to see which people have viewed that story. You can see how many people have seen it, but you can't scroll through who has seen it. Trying to select the list of views, the following message appears: “The lists of people who have viewed the content are not available after 24 hours”.

Featured Stories have existed on Instagram since late 2017, when they were introduced to allow content to survive in the app even after 24 hours. It is thought that it was a choice made especially for companies, which thus could divide their stories into different categories, always leaving them available to interested users.

“The lists of people who have viewed the content” continue to be available in the case of normal Stories, those that are made and that remain visible for 24 hours before disappearing (or being saved among the Stories in evidence).

On the internet, users seem not to have liked the update and many of them write that it was very useful to be able to review those who had seen their stories and find out who instead had chosen to go and see them even days after their publication, looking for them in the bar of the Featured stories.

But there are also those who have reacted with joy, saying that it is now finally possible to spy on other people's old stories, without those people knowing.
