Unboxing
The smartwatch comes in a small white box. Inside, in addition to the watch with a pre-applied film, there is also a second spare film . Below the clock the battery charger (we found two in the package, almost certainly by mistake). It is a cable with magnetic connectors , therefore not of the classic circular base.
Aesthetics
If we exclude Apple Watch, which has always chosen a more squared design, the panorama of Android smartwatches on the market today seems to turn attention to circular shapes. This Kospet Vision 4G also offers a round display and, therefore, a traditional circular look, where the large
display stands out. 1.6 inches with IPS technology .
Traditional design where the front photographic sensor also stands out, placed on the top, just above the screen, and which allows you to take discreet selfies, thanks to its 8 MP. Let's not forget, however, that it is a clock, so certainly not to be used as a main chamber.
On the right side two large buttons, which are used not only for switching on and off, but also for standby / waking up the device, but which also allow you to navigate the UI, returning for example to the main screen with a single touch.
On the back, the one that is then invisible once worn, there is the heartbeat sensor, and the compartment for the Sim . Unlike other models, it is possible to insert and extract the Sim card without resorting to screwdrivers: finally the Sim compartment can be opened and closed with your hands. This is not a small element, considering that in the previous models a screwdriver had to be used instead.
As for the straps, however interchangeable, Kospet Vision 4G also welcomes the fashion that has recently been carried out by many other manufacturers, even famous ones, such as Amazfit. The strap , in fact, is a mixture of leather and silicone . The leather on the outside gives it a more precious appearance, while the silicone on the inside allows it to be tightened to the wrist with greater comfort.
To protect the dial the Corning Glass , unspecified, which in any case seemed quite resistant to us; in any case, the watch comes already with a pre-applied film, and a second spare in the package, which we recommend to use to better preserve the glass from scratches or breakages.
Technical features
As already mentioned, what amazes most about this smartwatch is the dual camera . One 8MP front first , and a 5.0MP side second side . As already mentioned, it will certainly not be the main device with which you will take pictures, but it is not that unlikely that you will use it.
Another notable feature is the 1.6 inch display , with 320 x 320 resolution . This is a good unit, particularly bright and readable in any light condition, a little less in direct sunlight, where only digital ink displays seem to have the upper hand.
Again, as already mentioned, the presence of the Sim compartment , with support Dual 4G – LTED, TDD LTE + FDD LTE, which in fact transforms the watch into a real smartphone, therefore with the possibility of receiving and making calls, not only independently of the smartphone, but with its own phone number.
To move the smartwatch the MTK6739 quad-core processor, and well 3GB of RAM , with a 32GB ROM . This is an equipment that can be appreciated on medium-low-end smartphones, but which is particularly important on a watch. It supports GPS + GLONASS and has a 800 mAh battery inside, which allows for daily use.
Furthermore, the clock houses a Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n module , which allows you to surf the net with the only limitation of the small circular display, certainly not comfortable. As for the bluetooth , to complete the set of technical features, it is version 4.0 , therefore not the most recent, but still reliable.
Software
At the software level we find the build of Android 7.1 . Although customized to adapt to the simple menus of a watch, it is an Android version that offers full access to the Google Play Store , with the possibility, therefore , to install the standard applications available on the store, and which users are usually able to install on smartphones.
Thus, you can choose to play Clash Royale on your wrist, to install the full version of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and all the other known apps in the Android landscape. The only limit, of course, is that of their use on a small display.
As for the app on smartphones, note that you need to download WiiWatch 2 , and not WiiWatch as indicated by the QR code that appears on the screen at first start. With this latest software we were unable to pair the smartphone to the watch, while everything was fine with the WiiWatch 2 app.
Performance
Processor, RAM and other features, as already mentioned, are practically from smartphones, more than from smartwatches. This allows the watch to be truly fluid, also because, let's be honest, its use won't be exactly that of a smartphone.
All operations on the wrist are fluid and fast, with a graphical interface that is not too modern, but still functional, where all the settings and options are always just a click away.
Note that there are many watch faces already pre-installed, many of which are really valid. It is possible to personalize them further, even with your own photo, but the pre-installed ones are very beautiful. In addition to those dedicated to the Great Mazinger, there are many others, all capable of showing the most important data on the screen, such as the steps taken, the distance traveled, the date, the battery level and, of course, the time.
The watch also supports voice search via the Google assistant , which unfortunately we were unable to recall with the voice command “Ok, Google”, nor with the quick press of a few buttons. To activate it you will need to scroll through the list of Apps and click on the voice search icon. Too bad, because it takes several taps on the screen before you can dictate the voice command, which would have been much more useful if it had been possible to recall it on the fly.
Sports activities
Although the watch has a classic and elegant appearance, it is a peripheral that can be used to track various sports disciplines. Let's start by saying that in daily use Kospet Vision 4G has shown itself to be quite accurate in counting the steps, the distance traveled, as well as the cardiac measurements seemed likely to us. Although these are basic data, they are also the most used in everyday life and, therefore, it is good that they are accurate, otherwise they would completely compromise the use of the watch.
Beyond this standard information, the device is able to track indoor activities, outdoor running, cycling, and a whole range of sporting activities, where it will mostly show information related to heart rate, distance traveled and , even more importantly, the path taken.
Notifications
We consider notifications to be the most important part of a watch, because beyond the independent operation, thanks to the Sim support, we believe that the watch should be of support to the terminal. Notifications are the feature that avoids taking your smartphone out of your pocket often. From this point of view the watch works quite well.
On Android we can read particularly long texts, even if the ability to reply to messages is absent. This is standard behavior on a smartwatch that doesn't have Wear OS. In any case, the notifications always arrive on time, and still allow you to read the messages, without necessarily having to resort to the smartphone, which can intervene in important messages, when it is time to reply.

The feature of the smartwatch is precisely that of having two distinct sensors, one on the front and one on the side, as mentioned above. You certainly won't be using it as your main camera, and the photos are certainly not good enough. However, this is a quick and sometimes useful way to capture a situation, even without being noticed by others.

Conclusions
Kospet Vision 4G is part of that array of Chinese smartwatches that put a real smartphone on the wrist, with a good quality price. Apparently it is quite elegant, and generously sized. The advice is to buy it if you want a watch totally independent from the smartphone, which is able to receive and make calls from the wrist, with an independent phone number. The support for the Play Store is interesting, which in fact is then limited only by the size of the display, rather than by the specifications, which are similar to those of a smartphone.
Certainly the circular screen is not the best for the use of the various apps, which will for the most part be cut at the edges. The pre-installed watch faces are very beautiful, as is the display thanks to the excellent resolution.
