OnePlus confirmed the existence of the Nord 2 5G last week, also revealing that the device will be powered by an optimized version of the Dimensity 1200 processor. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has revealed new details regarding the display.
On Twitter, the company said that the smartphone will be equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel at 90Hz with HDR10 + certification. This means the Nord 2 will have essentially the same screen as the original Nord, featuring a 6.44-inch 90Hz OLED panel and HDR10 + support.
The first Nord model was certainly ahead of its time in technology, with the combination of a high refresh rate and OLED panel, at a time when it was rare to find both technologies in smartphones of that range. Right now, a 90Hz OLED panel is still valid for a mid-range smartphone, but hopefully OnePlus will update the Nord 2 in other areas, such as the camera experience, battery life, and charging speed.
