Oppo recently revealed a leather-wrapped Find X3 Pro variant, a design homage to camera company Kodak. Over time we have seen Vivo collaborate with Zeiss and OnePlus with Hasselblad, and now the Chinese company Oppo is also ready for such a collaboration.
Oppo via Weibo has confirmed the launch of the product on September 16 in China, but has also released images of a special edition Find X3 Pro. This new variant (named as the Photographer Edition) sports a leather cover on about two thirds of the rear, while the top third is still that familiar glass design seen on the standard Find X3 Pro.
One of the images also confirms that the phone still maintains an IP68 rating, while another image indicates special edition packaging for the Find X3 Pro in leather. This package appears to include a carrying case, lanyard, charger and earphones.
In any case, the tipster Weibo Digital Chat Station argues that this device should be a tribute to the design of Kodak cameras, but is internally identical to the standard Find X3 Pro. This means it will have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 3MP microscope lens and a 13MP 2X telephoto lens.
