Revolution in sight for PayPal: the US giant has announced a complete renewal of its application, both in terms of design and functionality. Unfortunately, however, all of this is currently available only in the United States.
Obviously, the new interface immediately catches the eye and, in particular, the new home page: this now not only shows the balance of your account but also shows a series of information such as the balance of their cryptocurrencies (remember that the possibility of buying cryptocurrencies arrived in the US in November last year) and a list of frequent contacts to request or send more money quickly.
All the other features of the app are well divided in the navigation bar at the bottom: among the novelties, we also find the possibility to make deposits or save money through a savings account provided by Synchrony Bank. In this regard, PayPal has stated that its accounts will have an annual percentage return of 0.40% and no minimum balance or monthly fees.
PayPal is also adding access to bill payment, so you can set up automatic payments to service providers.
Finally, a lot of emphasis is placed on coupons and discounts: these are collected within a special section of the app and can be used directly in the in-app browser. The company is also working on a loyalty program that will offer cashback and “purchase credit” on eligible PayPal purchases.
