Home iPhonia iPhone Accessories ,,,,, Cyber Layman tests the QCY E2 Gym bluetooth earphones for sportsmen. These are wireless earphones, with a silicone cord that is positioned around the neck to offer maximum stability even while running. They are really cheap, and this, combined with the design, is its strong point.
How they are made
The first contact is certainly positive. The earphones, although particularly cheap, are well presented inside the semi-transparent package, which leaves them immediately visible to the user. In the hand there is a sensation of absolute lightness, considering the weight of just 15.8 grams. Nonetheless, the headphones are well built, solid and cell to the touch. Beyond the ear cups, there is a silicone cord, on which the control panel insists, which also integrates the MicroUSB input for charging.
Technical features
At the level of technical characteristics, the QCY E2 earphones enjoy the IPX4 certification, therefore protected from any splashes of water or dust. They can't dive, of course, but they are more than protected for a run in the rain, or to resist sweat, without risk of getting damaged. Inside they offer a CSR 4.2 chip and support the Bluetooth protocol HEP, A2DP, HSPm AVRCP and APTX, to be compatible with most, if not all, smartphones, tablets and mobile devices equipped with BT.
The battery offers an autonomy of about 220 hours in stand-by, as the manufacturer himself declares, while they have an operating time of 8 hours in conversation and about 5 and a half hours in music playback. Realistically they offer a slightly shorter duration, but far more than enough to cover a week of more or less intense jogging.
How to wear them
They fit well to the ear, are comfortable, and can likely be held inside the ear cups for the duration of a training session. Not only does the silicone cord to pass behind the neck allow for greater stability, but also the three silicone fins present inside the package, of different sizes, allow you to choose the best setup, to adapt the earphones perfectly to the ear.
How they sound
The most important element, of course, is the quality of the sound. We assume that these are particularly cheap earphones, just 18 euros. This is why they surprised us positively. The general quality is more than sufficient, the sound is quite clean, even if you certainly cannot expect the utmost in sonic precision. Bass is not very present, but overall, while running, you can enjoy good music. The volume is good, they manage to isolate slightly from the surrounding environment, and overall for the list price they are satisfactory.
Equally satisfactory is the call quality. Thanks to the built-in microphone it is possible to carry out telephone conversations. The audio in this case is sufficient in both directions: you listen to the interlocutor's voice at a very good volume, and even at the other end of the handset you can clearly perceive the words. This is an element in favor of the QCY E2, which in addition to providing music on the go, also allow you to talk hands free.
Of course, they have a range limited to about 10 meters: the smartphone must be within this radius, and better if there are no obstacles between the terminal and the headphones. Inside an apartment it is possible to move to the room just adjacent, while moving away a little further the signal is almost completely lost.
Conclusions
For 18 euros we couldn't really expect anything more. They surprised us positively from the first unboxing. The sales package is well cared for, and this makes it suitable even for a cheap gift: they will not risk making you look bad. Good materials and construction, as well as the sound quality when listening to music and in conversation. Promoted for value for money.
They cost just 18 euros on GearBest and can be purchased directly at this address .
