Revue is finally integrated into Twitter: you can now subscribe to the newsletter directly from the social network

Twitter's acquisition of Revue, completed earlier this year, is beginning to bear fruit. From now on, some users will be able to subscribe to a Revue newsletter directly from a user's profile on the social network.

The rollout of the new function is being gradual. In this way, as the company explains, all Revue creators can now promote and add the Subscribe button of their newsletter on their Twitter profile page .

Some Twitter users on the web and Android will be able to see the links just below the number of followers. If they choose “Subscribe” , they will be asked if they want to see a sample of the newsletter or do it directly.

If you proceed, you will be asked if you want to use your email address associated with Twitter to proceed with the subscription. Revue claims that the feature will be coming to iOS soon, but does not indicate a specific date.

Revue allows anyone – whether or not they have a Twitter account – to publish a newsletter for free . This option provides a good number of options such as unlimited subscribers, a custom domain and participation metrics.

However, if users want to go further, they can choose a paid version, something that will allow them to monetize their work, that is, earn money with their publications. In this case, Revue will keep 5% of the revenue .

The company assures that they have wanted to keep the rate as low as possible, without affecting the service and the functions they offer for paid users, at the same time that they allow them to monetize their content.

Twitter bets on paid newsletters with Revue

The truth is that the world of newsletters is undergoing a major transformation and Twitter does not want to be left out. Payment is becoming an interesting option for those who want to receive quality content.

Actors like Medium and Quora are already betting on the paid newsletter model. Tumblr is trying. The well-known Substack is valued at 650 million dollars. Facebook wants to stomp in this area with Bulletin, its newsletter proposal. Now it only remains to wait to find out if Twitter will have the success it expects.
