Samsung claims to have built the largest smartphone factory in the world, in India

Korean company Samsung opened what it claims to be the world's largest smartphone factory in India on Monday. The plant was built in Noida, near Delhi, and is expected to produce around 120 million smartphones a year at full capacity. Samsung plans to use the factory to build both its cheaper models, priced under $ 100, and its more expensive and powerful models like the Galaxy S9. The company hopes to catch up in India, where it was recently overtaken by Chinese Xiaomi in the number of smartphones sold in the country.
