Samsung has always been a market leader when it comes to displays. The company’s OLED panels used for phones and TVs are regarded as some of the best in the square, also known for technological innovations through products like the awesome Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
With this latest screen prototype, Samsung embraces a future where dimension can be added to the present 2D making it even more immersive. During the presentation of Keynote at the Global Tech Korea 2021 Expo, the company showed the new flexible screen created to make experiences more engaging than those offered by a normal display.
The prototype of the display of the future measures 33cm diagonally. Among the factors to be evaluated is the durability, yet to be verified. An “extendable” display could help make virtual reality the same as everyday life, but there are still question marks about the practicality of the device.
