Snap Inc. fired 100 other people

Snap Inc., the company that owns Snapchat, has laid off 100 people as part of a new internal reorganization, according to reports gathered by Bloomberg. The job cut affects the company's marketing and advertising sector, while it does not affect engineers and developers, whose numbers had already been slashed by around 120 employees earlier this month. The dismissals decided by Snap are more than anything else aimed at reducing the number of employees, disproportionate to the current needs of the company. Snap has been listed on the stock exchange for about a year, but its shares haven't attracted many buyers, not least due to the great uncertainties about its future: Snapchat struggles to keep up with Instagram, which has changed much of its operation in recent years. just to compete with Snapchat.
