Twitter confirms itself in step with the most popular social networks and has just released a new feature that will prove very useful for those who want to distance themselves from specific followers without resort to drastic solutions.
The novelty has been defined soft block and consists of a new option to remove a follower without resorting to blocking . As you can see from the screenshots in the gallery , the option is placed in the contextual menu for each follower in the list of followers related to their account.
Removing a follower will result in that the removed user will no longer see the contents posted in their feed by those who have removed them. However, for the user removed from the follower list it will still be possible to view the profile of the user who removed him, as it will be possible to send him Direct messages. These last two options are negated in the case of block .
The novelty just described was distributed on Twitter web , i.e. for desktop platform.
We do not know if and when the social network plans to launch it also for its mobile apps .
