Stadia, Google's new streaming video game service, will be available starting next November. The system allows you to play video games that usually require a console, or a very powerful computer, through the Internet: the processing is performed remotely on Google's servers, which receive commands from their game controller connected to the network. Other companies, such as Sony for its PlayStation, are also working on similar solutions, but Stadia seems to be the most promising service at the moment, especially since it can count on the many Google data centers around the world.
Google has also provided some more details on its subscription plans. There will be a free version of Stadia, with the ability to play with up to 1080p definition and stereo sound, and a Pro version with up to 4K resolution and 5.1 surround sound. The paid version, which will cost around 10 euros per month, will have some games included and the ability to access previews. To play you will need a Stadia controller and a Chromecast to connect to the TV: the package to start playing is already available on the Google store, delivery will take place starting next November.
