A curious situation occurred around a SpaceX Starlink antenna , or the offer of Elon Musk as an Internet service provider, in fact antennas are used which attract cats on cold days . In a recent tweet from a Starlink customer you can see at least five cats crouching on the receiver, probably to take advantage of the heat generated by it.
“Starlink works great until the cats find that the dish gives off a bit of heat on cold days,” tweeted Twitter user Aaron Taylor on New Year's Eve.
It is possible that the dishes attract other small creatures as well, and one Reddit user has even gone so far as to use thermography to determine why animals can congregate around their plate.
“I was checking the receiver with a thermal finder and it actually looks like the whole dish, including the back side is hot, so you might see animals under or around it if it's mounted on the ground.”
Other users have expressed concern that the birds perched on the edge of the pot could cause performance issues , however it is currently unclear if they can actually cause service interruptions.
What can we say then? Beware of the cat!
