The Omnibox of Google Chrome is the evolution of the classic address bar and now allows you to perform different types of searches , as well as surf the internet. There are more news on this browser component on the horizon.
According to what was found by Chrome Story in the Chromium repository, the engine that is at the base of the operation of Chrome, Google is preparing the ability to search for keywords such as @ history , @ settings and @ bookmarks . It will therefore be possible to access the history , the settings and the Favorites of Chrome directly from the address bar.
The novelty will reduce access times to these sections of the browser, normally available via keyboard shortcuts or through the classic Chrome settings.
Currently the novelty has yet to be distributed in the testing phase to Chrome Beta and Canary . We expect it to arrive via a classic flag, before stable release.
