Since its inception, over 20 years ago, Google Earth has pledged to reproduce faithfully the planet in which we live in a 3D model detailed and accessible to all. But now things are becoming further detailed , thanks to the possibility of observing the passage of time and how the planet has changed over the last four decades .
All this is possible thanks to Timelapse in Google Earth , the function that has collected 24 million satellite images of the last 37 years in an interactive 4D experience . Planet earth evolves with us, and unfortunately often suffers the consequences of our actions . With this new feature you will be able to quickly retrace its most recent history , checking every modification that has occurred.
Thanks to Timelapse , we will have a clearer picture of how our planet is changing . To use Timelapse simply go to g.co/Timelapse and navigate through the convenient search bar to select any place and observe its changes as time goes by.
