The Lazio Regional Administrative Court (TAR) has ruled that the ministries of the Environment, Health and Education will have to organize, within six months, an information campaign on the correct ways of using cell phones and cordless phones. The campaign will also have to inform about the alleged risks to health and the environment in the event that smartphones and other mobile devices are used improperly. The sentence was produced following the partial acceptance of an appeal proposed by the Association for the prevention and fight against electrosmog. The TAR criticized the ministries for never having launched an information campaign on the subject, despite having dealt with it in several circumstances. To date, however, there is no scientific evidence that demonstrates a causal link between the use of cell phones and tumors. Research is still ongoing by leading health organizations, including the WHO, and is dedicated above all to assessing a possible increase in the risk of excessive and continuous use of cell phones.
