At the end of December, shortly after the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, millions of fans started a campaign demanding that Sony Pictures produce The Amazing Spoider-Man 3. Andrew Garfield's trilogy, remember, was left unfinished after the stumble of the second feature film. However, the fandom considers that the actor deserves the opportunity to finish his spider story. Well, now the campaign has the backing of Tom Holland himself.
On more than one occasion Tom Holland has shown his admiration for the Spider -Andrew Garfield's Man, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to join the petitions. In an interview with the ComicBook portal, the actor did not hide his desire to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3. In addition, he made it clear that Garfield had already made peace with Sony Pictures after his participation on Spider-Man: No Way Home:
“I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3. I think it was wonderful how Andrew was able to make his peace with the character and the studio, you know , to win back the general public.”
Likewise, Tom Holland highlighted the scene that, for many, is the most important of Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home; especially for the meaning it has for his Peter Marker. “That scene where he saved Zendaya, and the reactions from the fans in the theater, was so spectacular. So should Sony decide to do that?” ? They would have my full support and, obviously, Andrew too“.
Will Sony Pictures listen to the requests of the fans and of Tom Holland himself?, Will The Amazing Spider-Man 3 come true? Only time will tell. The truth is that more and more people are joining the campaign and it can hardly be ignored. Also, Andrew Garfield left the open door upon his return. He even did not rule out working with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire again:
“I would love to continue working with Tobey and Tom. I think that kind of dynamic between three brothers is very meaty. To be honest, I'm just going to say that I'm very happy, satisfied and grateful to be a part of this. It's hard to want anything more right now. I'm really trying to savor the moment with the fans and with the audience. Just say thank you. I feel very honored and grateful for the response.”
