In recent months we have tried and reviewed almost all the news from Tribit, a thriving company that produces high quality audio devices. The appeal was missing just one, Tribit MaxSound Plus, which arrived in the editorial office a few weeks ago allowing us to complete the tests and have a complete picture of the new releases.
In shape and size it resembles the Tribit Xsound Go but costs almost double because inside it incorporates more powerful drivers and a technology dedicated to low frequencies which is the real strength of this model. It is slightly less performing than Tribit MaxBoom but comparing it with the latter is definitely wrong given that by type of audio diffusion and capacity they are two completely different speakers and created to satisfy two distinct categories of public.
This third speaker of the new series, as mentioned, completes the novelty cycle, which also includes three headphones – Tribit XFree Tune, Tribit XFree Move and Tribit X1 – for those looking for a system to immerse themselves in quality audio, to train in the gym or to listen to music in style.
As did
In shape and size, as we said, it closely resembles its younger brother Xsound Go: it measures approximately 20 x 6.5 x 6.5 cm and is built entirely of thick and robust polycarbonate as well as supported by the same anti-fingerprint finish that gives it a modern and minimal look.
The front is made up of a metal grille that protects the drivers while at the back a large opening lets the bass radiator breathe. The music playback control keys are recessed on the upper edge, flush with the body and recognizable by the respective symbols slightly in relief.
The bottom is reinforced by four small rubber feet that avoid contact of the speaker with the support surface while a very thick cap on the back protects the microUSB input for battery charging and the audio jack port dedicated to connecting the speaker to a reader. music via cable (included in the package). Finally, on one side there is a hole on which a wrist strap is already attached to make it easier to transport.

How is it going
The audio quality is the greatest advantage of Tribit MaxSound Plus. With two front drivers for a total power of 24W, it is among the most powerful of the series and is able to fill a room of about 15-20 square meters and without any distortion of the sound. The highs are bright, the mids full-bodied and enveloping, while the lows are present but without exaggerating.
By activating the Xbass function with the pressure of the appropriate button, it is possible to give a substantial boost to the low frequencies: songs like Bass Can You Hear Me literally blow air from the rear radiator, demonstrating the high power that this speaker is able to extract. maximum volume level. In this mode, however, the equalization of the sound spectrum changes slightly, with the highs and mids being slightly darker and muffled.
The overall performance is basically similar to that of Tribit MaxBoom, which however wins the comparison due to the greater three-dimensionality guaranteed by the speakers that all rotate around the speaker and the possibility of combining two to create a real stereo system.
Conclusions
Tribit MaxSound Plus is an excellent speaker cured from every point of view. The audio is powerful and crystal clear and that we are dealing with a high-level product is confirmed by the price: 55.99 euros on Amazon, which is certainly in line with the overall quality of the product but nevertheless superior to that. of many other competing solutions that could actually take the market away if you are satisfied with cheaper materials and a mid-level sound purity.
