Twitch will offer fixed income to streamers for the ads in their direct

Ads displayed on Twitch live streams are not to the liking of most users, but they are one of the monetization avenues available to streamers. And although the Amazon platform does not plan to get rid of them, it will change its operation and will offer fixed monthly income to content creators.

The modification is part of a new incentive program or Ads Incentive Program, which the streaming service plans to launch. The novelty was confirmed through the Twitch blog, although the publication was deleted shortly after and that suggests that the announcement was made known before time.

What is the flat rate for Twitch ads? As it was learned, streamers will be able to select between three monthly fixed income options through the advertisements that are shown in their live streams. To receive these amounts they will have to meet some requirements, such as completing a certain number of hours of transmission during the month and allowing a certain number of ads to be shown per hour.

It is worth noting that the flat rates that Twitch will offer will not be the same for all streamers. Money amounts will vary based on account activity and number of subscribers; however, it is worth clarifying that initially it will only be available for a select group of affiliates and Partners.

Thus, to earn $500 per month, streamers would have to allow two ads per broadcast hour and broadcast 40 hours throughout the month. To raise that number to $800 or $1,000, they must meet the same monthly amount of time in front of the camera, but with three or four ads per hour, respectively.

Those who exceed the stipulated number of monthly transmission hours will receive the extra money under the conventional rate ; while those who do not meet the requirements will return to the variable income model.

“We've created the Ads Incentive Program for two crucial reasons: reliable and predictable revenue is important to streamers, and managing ads can be a hassle that takes time away from content creation. We want to free creators of additional administrative responsibilities to so they can focus on doing what they love with the community they love,” Twitch said in the deleted ad.

For now it is unknown when this new fixed income program will be launched , and if it will be available worldwide or only in the United States.
