Twitter continues to take steps forward. In a telematic meeting in which Hypertextual has participated, the American company has announced various news related to cryptocurrencies, NFTs and the promotion of creators.
The first of the news announced by the company is that Twitter tips will be available, starting today, worldwide. For the moment, only on iOS, although they assure that It will also be coming to Android in no time. The announcement, however, does not stop there. Twitter has also announced that it will be possible to tip creators using Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, an area in which Jack Dorsey, the company's chief executive, has shown considerable interest. This option will also be available globally from today.
In parallel, the company has announced interest in implementing verification of NFTs , although they have not specifically detailed how this system will work. They have also shown interest in promoting content creators on Twitter through a new program that will consist of providing resources (including technical or marketing) to those who repeatedly generate content on the platform. This, however, is still in an early stage, so more details will be released in the future.
