Home Reviews ,,,,,Vava is still another brand of products that come from China with the added value of particular design proposals and this Vava Touch lamp that we tried for a few weeks seems to confirm the good intentions of the project.
It is a table model (or bedside table if you prefer) with a height sufficient to illuminate a book placed on the desk, on your legs if you are in an armchair or if you are reading in bed.
How it's done
The white base with a lowered and tapered disc is connected to the stem and this thanks to an invisible joint system (it is covered by a silicone tube that covers the entire stem) allows the angle of the terminal bell (180 degrees is the amplitude) with a very gentle movement and above all without showing any discontinuity with the vertical element. The bell does not contain a lamp holder as the LED lighting system is one with the device and is protected by a translucent white sphere that somehow imitates a large bulb that will illuminate uniformly when switched on.
As we reported in the title, it is a modern and original reinterpretation of a classic system that goes beyond the concept of hyper-technological object that we are used to seeing in Chinese production or the revival of a classic object with imitation materials: here the design is absolutely original. .

To contribute to the modernity of the object there are obviously the touch controls incorporated in the base that acts as an excellent counterweight: in addition to the obvious on and off functions we find that of Timer (low double pressure on the appropriate button to start the countdown that will turn it off in an hour), the one for adjusting the luminous flux and the one for adjusting the color temperature with three steps: warm white, natural white (neutral) and cool white.
At work
The lack of a lamp must not scare and indeed must be considered an extra safety reason in the case of use in a child's room. In fact, there are no parts to disassemble and in any case the LED lamps have a duration of 35-50,000 hours which correspond in the worst case to 20 years of ignition for 5 hours a day.
The lamp is very stable thanks to the heavy base and the angle adjustment is very smooth: no need to force and the bell remains firmly in position.
The touch controls do not have a tactile reference such as a small relief that identifies at least the central part of the buttons this is a bit uncomfortable because it forces you to look at the control area anyway but it must be said that for the basic operations of switching on or switch off simply place your hand on the upper front part of the lamp to activate or deactivate it.
The luminous flux adjustments offer a pleasant range of levels and it is also very convenient to select the three color temperatures: if we want to create a discreet warm living room effect we can use warm white also useful on the bedside table to help us fall asleep while if we want to use it on the desk to focus on the study we will use the neutral or cold shade.
The bell structure obviously favors concentrated lighting since the light beam will arrive in a spot delimited by the rear position of the LEDs and by the edge of the bell itself: keep this in mind if you want to use it as an accessory light in the living room.
We used the lamp for a few weeks, keeping it in an environment with direct sunlight during most of the day and the surfaces, in addition to being pleasant to the touch, have not altered in any way in the color: given the white color and the use of different materials this is a good sign that makes us expect good stability over time also in this respect.

Sold at 29.99 euros including VAT on Amazon, the product has an excellent quality / price ratio and is able to rival the modernity of design with similar IKEA models. With a minimum of ergonomic device it would be at the most for convenience too.
