How many times do you start a YouTube video but don't finish it? Possibly more than you think. But with the new function of the Google video platform, it will be easier than ever to resume that content that you left halfway .
The internet giant has incorporated the function Continue watching into the web version of YouTube. It is a mini-player that shows the content that you did not finish watching on other devices and allows you to resume it immediately.
For example, if you were watching a video on YouTube on your mobile with Android or iOS and, for some reason, you did not finish it, when you open the web version of the video platform, a mini-player will be displayed in the lower right corner.
Tapping the play button will continue the video from exactly where you left off. This s e will play in reduced view , although you can also press the maximize button to see it in full screen.

As 9To5Google points out, this new feature works in one direction only. That is to say: if you start the content on your computer, you will not see this mini-player on your mobile. It will only do it in the reverse direction.
YouTube keeps adding new features
If the new feature still doesn't appear, don't worry. As is usual with this type of news on YouTube, Google will gradually roll out, so some users will receive it before others.
Keep in mind that for YouTube to know which videos you were watching and remind you to continue the one you left halfway you must be logged in on all the devices where you want the function to work.
The desktop version of YouTube may also soon implement the ability to download videos directly to your computer. Anyway, this would be available only to premium users of the service.
