Thanks to the teardown carried out by WABetaInfo it was possible to find a news that is being worked on for WhatsApp Desktop. This is the display of the indicators relating to the activation of the end-to-end encryption for WhatsApp Desktop chats. The screenshot you find in the gallery shows how this indicator will be displayed, at the end of the chat list .
The reference was found in version 2.2206.1 of WhatsApp Desktop beta but is not yet publicly available . We expect it to be in the coming weeks.
