It has really been so long since the Amazfit Bip came out, and so many successors have been released by Amazfit, that it really seems like a miracle to still have it on your wrist. After such a long time it is still a valid choice and in this article we try to explain why.
Amazfit Bip was one of the first wearables launched by the company on the market, immediately received with great favor by the public. Let's start, first of all, with the design. If we were to find a term of comparison on the market, we would identify it in Apple Watch, with the necessary differences of course.
The shape is however square, so no circular design, with well-optimized side frames, and thicker upper and lower bezels. Overall, the design is still minimal, and still looks good on the wrist, even after so many years after its release.
If you compare it to other more elegant successors such as the Amazfit GTR it shows many limits, but on the wrist it is still a current choice today, also for the use it is called to carry out, and which will be discussed later.
The aesthetics, therefore, is still in favor of the device, which on the wrist makes its figure and is still very valid, even after several years. Another reason Amazfit Bip still manages to compete in the market is its display. Yes, that display that at first glance we didn't like that much.
Indoors it is not particularly bright or defined, as it is a reflective unit. With the passage of time, and especially with the different tests of the most recent devices, we have instead learned to appreciate this display. Yes, because today it is still one of the most valid when moving outdoors for physical activity.
While other competitors, with super-defined and very bright OLED displays indoors, are practically unreadable under direct sunlight, Amazfit Bip really seems to be the best. When jogging, or just outdoors, it's one of the few that literally shines in the sun.
This feature is even more valuable when you consider that the Bip is really the ideal companion for outdoor sports, also thanks to the integrated GPS module. This allows you to go for a run without having to pair your smartphone to geo locate the data.
This is the true essence of this smartwatch, which still today is preferable to the various Mi Band 4 and Honor Band 5, which instead do not have an integrated GPS module. To have something similar you have to move to the excellent Verge or Verge Lite, which to go well costs twice as much as this Amazfit Bip.
And if all the above reasons were still not enough to convince you that the Bip is still a valid purchase today, the autonomy that well exceeds the month takes care of it, and in the latest Lite variants released it reaches 45 days.
There are all those typical functions of a modern smartwatch, such as a sensor for calculating the heart rate, the possibility of being paired with the smartphone with the Mi Fit app, the same in use for the most recent versions of the company's watches.
Comfortable on the wrist, really light (just over 30 grams), Amazfit Bip is a companion in everyday life that has nothing to envy to other more modern competitors, not even from the point of view of notifications.
And in fact, although it does not have on board voice assistants, although it does not allow any response from the wrist, it still allows you to read all incoming notifications, so as not to have to take the smartphone out of your pocket all the time.
In summary, we believe Amazfit Bip a still valid choice for several reasons. The price, first of all, is really low. The presence of a GPS module, not available on cheaper smartbands, a reflective display that clearly shows the information on the screen even in direct sunlight.
Again, the autonomy, really superior and in general the value for money. Certainly it will not be aesthetically the most elegant, but it is the watch to wear in everyday life, not only for casual days, but also for sport.
It is purchased for about 50 euros (just add it to the cart to get the discount) on the GearBest pages in the different color variants, black, light gray, green and orange. Click here to buy .
