You can now play Wordle on a Game Boy and without a word limit

We continue with the versions of Wordle for all tastes. As happened with Apalabrados a few years ago, also linked to the world of words, the game of discovering the daily word continues to be an obsession. In this case, things come hand in hand with an arcade version. Specifically a Wordle clone ready to play on a Game Boy (the original) and an Analogue Pocket.

Created by the youtuber StackSmashing, the only difference with the original comes from the limitation. Unlike Wordle on the web, the Game Boy version fixes the game's biggest problem: it has unlimited words. This means that if you are very addicted to the trendy game, you will not have to suffer the torture of waiting 24 hours to play again. In this case, you can hook one after another.

If you still have the Game Boy or Analogue Pocket lying around, StackSmashing has made the game's ROM available for free on GitHub.

The bad news is that you will have to master English. As was the case with Taylor Swift's Wordle, the Taylordle, based on the lyrics of the artist's songs, is based on English. In fact, as StackSmashing itself explains, its creation is based on one of the 8,000 most common 5-letter words in English. Why only this number? There was simply no room for more in the game schedule. He assures, however, that he does not rule out updating the game to add more terms. Even to make it compatible with other handheld gaming systems.

The version of Wordle for Gat Boy also ensures that it will always be available. After the purchase of the original game by The New York Times, the doubt arose that a paywall would enter to access what is already one of the original puzzles of the American medium. In fact, we could already see the elimination of the clones that appeared in the iOS and Android app stores as they were plagiarized from the original and used the name without permission.

However, this cleanup has not affected some web versions. From the already mentioned of Taylor Swift, to some of food, sport, cinema or the one thought to create our own Wordle. At the moment, and at least in the Spanish version, the game remains free and free to use. Same as the Game Boy version of Wordle with unlimited word games.
