YouTube, which like Google is part of Alphabet, will test in the next few days, for now only in India, a new service, YouTube Shorts, which will allow you to create and share short vertical videos with background music, therefore very similar to those of TikTok. An official statement explained that after the first tests in India, YouTube will expand the possibility of using Shorts to other countries as well. As The Verge explained, Shorts will allow you to make videos with a maximum duration of 15 seconds, edit them with various effects and choose the music to add to them from around 100,000 different songs. In many ways, it's a similar move to what Instagram has already attempted to make with the Reels feature.
