The Zoom application has seen an exponential increase in its users thanks to the pandemic underway, but is now trying to add new functions to its offer to keep the users of the service close. Zoom is in fact launching a new video background feature called Immersive View , which aims to make the video calling experience more like a real office meeting. The feature, announced late last year, is now effectively available to Free and Pro accounts attending meetings and webinars with a maximum of 25 attendees .
Immersive View focuses on the actual positioning of the various participants in more realistic-looking places , being able to choose from a variety of virtual scenes incorporated as a meeting room or auditorium. Meeting organizers can activate Immersive View from the same menu where Speaker View and Gallery View are located, by resizing the participants as desired, or by moving them within the scene. It will also be possible to upload your own scenes .
The biggest limitation of Immersive View lies instead in the impossibility of being used in calls with more than 25 people . To be able to try this new feature, you will need to run the latest version of the Zoom app on your computer.
