The Stranger Things Monopoly has 'spoiled' the entire plot before the premiere of the new season

It has not yet been released, and being one of the most acclaimed and most anticipated series on Netflix, the company is especially interested in not leaking anything from the last season of Stranger Things. Zero spoilers policy . However, this time it has been the promotional material that has played a trick on the service.

The Stranger Things Monopoly, one of the associated products that is part of the series' advertising campaign, has totally spoiled what we will see in the first part of the new season. Don't worry, we won't comment on spoilers here, but be careful because they are making the rounds on the internet.

Logically, this has pissed off its creators a lot (and we assume that Netflix itself), since this time they have not been spoilers released by the first lucky ones who see the series. A mix of guilt between the promotional campaign and announcing associated merchandising ahead of time.

The Stranger Things Monopoly, guilty of spoilers

The series does not premiere for another week, on May 27, and the truth is that much more is already known than it should be about what we will see in the first part of the last (and expected season).

Everything seems to indicate that the Duffer Brothers have made a special effort to create surprises taking advantage of the interest in the series, and now many of them have gone to waste for some of their fans.

The problem is that many of the Monopoly cards from Stranger Things spoil major plot points in the new episodes, and this has particularly angered the show's creators, according to THR. Matt and Ross Duffer have done everything possible to keep the story secret and according to the aforementioned medium they had a “total meltdown” when they found out that the spoilers were already circulating on the internet.

And it is that, unlike other leaks, this time the game was purchased from “a nationally recognized retailer and fairly by a consumer. Nobody stole it; no one with inside information leaked it. A mistake of selling promotional material before time.

It seems that, even with the efforts of the Duffers, everything has been uncovered.
